As somebody who does a nostalgia website, fuck yes, we need less nostalgia.
I'd like to see less for 2022. Less videos, less content, less 24/7 news cycle, less new crap to keep up with. It's too much.
As I've said before, Thrasher is in the unenviable position of having to be all things to everyone. They are doing a great job at it, but that's going to grind ya down at some point. I imagine if Transworld hadn't been bought and sold a couple times to venture capitalists, they would still be going. Print media is sadly never making a big comeback and that really is a bummer. Different voices is mostly never a bad thing.
What about Juice? I saw an ad for them on FB and they seem to have moved past the old guys in bowls type of content. Even with that, they still are more of niche publication.
I could picture Crailtap dialing up some movie magic for a deep fake trick. They have dabbled with that in the past.
Leap Year was really good.
Homicide: Life on the Street was the best 90s cop show.
