Today this blog turns seven years old. Thanks to everyone who visits the site, makes videos, or supports the site in any other way. I've got something new in the works right now that hopefully I can get going in the next month or two. For me it is exciting to take Mostly Skateboarding in a new direction and hopefully contribute to skateboarding in a more productive way than just pointing out good videos.

Making Money

After running Mostly Skateboarding for close to seven years and making only a few dollars here and there and passin up on more advertising opportunities than I have taken, I have decided to join the Amazon Affiliate Program. I decided on this because it seems to be the least invasive way to make money from the site. You buy stuff from Amazon anyway, and the site won't be cluttered with Google ads no one clicks on. The way it works is I get a percentage of whatever you buy on Amazon when you start your shopping from the search box over on the right under the Twitter widget. Think of it as a simple way to say thanks for seven years of skate clips. I may do a reminder from time to time but hopefully it won't get in the way too much of what you really come here for.
