I'm partial to Jim's skate rat look from a few years ago. His current gear is tasteful. Fashionable, but not too out there. This was the first of his films I watched all the way through. The others were too long.

I liked how Jim was battling the wind for some of his tricks. Living on Lake Erie, I have to deal with that often.

Jenkem's Ground Glass series does a good job exploring the possibilities of film.

The Frog x Thunder video was good. Minus the scene where they held the fish out of water for an uncomfortably long time. I liked the skating and spots they were riding. The tricks were all solid without resorting to silly business yet they were still having fun doing them. I'm fine with Frog, but the graphics, ads, and videos can be hit or miss.

In talking about Jeremy Klein's skating/legacy, remember Chris Milic's part in the Last Resort video from this summer? Milic was definitely channeling some JK vibes in that one.

I don't think you actually know when you've made a game changer. It happens of its own accord and depends on a lot variables. You might suspect you're onto something, but it's doubtful you know for sure. Look at all the companies that thought they had some big blockbuster video and it totally sucked.

As an update for what people are riding, Scumco is moving boards.
