I used to love Man Or Astro-Man, so I was stoked on Miki Tähtinen's song choice for his video part. It probably should have just been a one song part though. The quicktiem was all kinds of wonky for me, so here it is on Vimeo along with other parts from the ITÄ video.
This is the third montage from Deja Vu...
I'm still on my years old Japanese clip kick with the trailer for Dialogue Between Insiders from 2007. They also have a new video that just came out called Lenz but the trailer is only downloadable and YouTubable, so check that if you're OK with those formats.
Consolidated's Maru and some homies kill this sick bank in Japan.
After watching the video and reading You Will Soon's review of Extremely Sorry I decided that Quarter Snacks or someone else needs to re-edit Extremely Sorry like they did for Mind Field.
Someone in Portsmouth is giving away around 40 cinder blocks. Someone get on that and build something. Then let me know where it is. I'd get on this myself but don't have a truck or a place to build, but I know someone out there does. If you don't live around here, check your local Craigslist and see if someone is giving away some building supplies.
Rob G has a new issue out of Texas. Sick.
Here is a new montage out of New Jersey. If anyone has some more info, let us know in the comments.
Stay Stacking in a new website with a new montage with footage that was supposed to be in soem video but now isn't.
I'm still on the Japan kick and super stoked on all the interesting spots in Rua Magazine which you can look at online.
Japan's Strush Wheels has a really rad trailer for their video Collective Improvisation. I guess it's about a year old, but still got me pretty stoked.
It's been a while since I posted any non-skate stuff here, so here is something I'm pretty excited about. I'm a big Michael Pollen fan, so I'm psyched that his book The Botany Of Desire has been made into a two hour PBS documentary premiering October 28th on PBS. Click here to check the trailer and find out when it is playing in your area.
I guess this is from 2005, but the Expression Clothing Barcelona montage is new to me and worth a watch.
It seems kinda silly to me that guys in Europe would come to the States to skate, but the guys from 5th District did just that and came back with this NYC montage.
The Irvine Sucks crew headed up to San Francisco instead of finishing their website re-design, but they made a montage so it's OK.
The Denver Shop comes through with a nice random montage.
Jon Wolf's Barcelona montage is half slow mo skating and half cutaways.
The Plus dudes spent a weekend in Tampa skating parks and street and came back with this montage.
All I know is that this guy's name is George Kargopoltsev and he is skating mostly in Moscow. His video part shows a good grasp of all the latest lipslide to whatever and grind/slide to manual variations. If you want the full 1280x720 HD quality you can watch that here.
Seems like people wanted to know where this park is from an earlier post. Turns out it is a brand new park in Ontario, Canada called Ashbridges Bay. It opens on October 3rd.
I just stumbled across Tree Visions and enjoyed their Pass The Herb montage. Check the other montages as well. They're kind of meandering, but there are some cool Japanese spots in there too.
Sean McGinnis has put together a nice trailer for his video The Watched.
Imagine getting your buddies together and going to China. That's exactly what the Fam Biz dudes did and they came out with this montage.
Richmond's Born Ugly just published issue #3 which is available here or various physical locations in Virginia... maybe.
Shred Love has a warm up montage that is better than a lot of the stuff I've been seeing lately. Provide your own music.
I haven't been finding many great video clips out there, lots of park stuff, so I'm forced to link to the general area of this montage from Annecy Board Shop's trip to Italy. it's under this heading "13/08/09 - Saucisse à l'italienne." If someone could hit me up with the html to embed it here on MostlySkateboard I'd much appreciate it. If anyone from ABS is reading this then make it so I can link directly to individual blog posts. Fuck.
The KC in KC Skate stands for Kauai and California. Their first montage features a bunch of familiar spots.
I used to get bummed on park footage, but now all these rad skate plazas are popping up and they look so fun. Here is a montage from a new looking Canadian park from Blue Tile Lounge.
Trap skateboards out of Germany has their video, Traces, online for you to watch in parts. Linked above is Michael Von Fintel. The way it is linked doesn't work right off. The url should look like this. http://www.trap-skateboards.de/videos/barce_kalle.mov so you'll have to delete the bullshit so it's just /videos/dudes_name.mov
Tacky World has a teaser for Two Years Of Joy.
These WiSkate dudes rip so hard. See the latest montage to get my drift.
What's up with the statue in the screen grab from Douwe Macare's Sneak Peak from his upcoming part in Colin Clark's Without Exit?
Maybe you already caught the youtube version of this trailer for This Machine Kills Fascists, but I don't post YouTube videos so when Dominion posted it up in Quicktime I decided I should post it up here cause it is really good. Keep an eye on the progress on their blog.
Skate Simple has the second Summer Promo from Stimulus. That spot int eh screen grab has got the be one of the funnest DIY spots out. Anyone know where we could build one around here?
Colin Clark gave Tackyworld some throwaways from his new video Without Exit.
I know a Woodward montage doesn't sound too interesting, but their new street plaza looks so fun, and Timmy Knuth's ender is bonkers. from Chronicles of Hern. Sorry for park footage two days in a row...
This German park looks pretty sick and the dudes from Edit Skateboards handle it quite well especially Dennis Glaser's nollie flip shifty.
