Skateboarding & Hip-Hop

This article about skateboarding and hip-hop is filled with silly quotes like "not coincidentally, skaters and rappers have turned raging against the machine into multibillion-dollar businesses." It just goes to show that the mainstream will never understand skateboarding. As a side note, who do you think woudl win in a game of skate? Lupe or Pharrell

Lupe will definately put a hurtin on Pharell's non skating ass. See the Kick Push video that he filmed nearly entirely at Uprise with Jackson, Neen, and Kiko. Jackson and Ken have been trying to progress him beyond ollies but hey, baby steps.
holyzapatos.blogspot.com for lots of Chicago news... Not completely skate though...

Want to hear somethng funny? 35 year old Malice from the Clipse has a miniramp in his house and he actually skates on it-- which threw me back when I heard it. I give Pharrel and Lupe their much deserved repect, how many other people have jobs that interfere with their skateboarding? Atleast Pharrell can still enjoy skateboarding and the changes and adavncements it helped create and infuence for his career.
