Grip Tape sounds horrible. Every app sounds horrible. Physical format is the way to go. I'm over screen time.
All the Dwindle companies came to their awkward demise in late 2022, which feels like two lifetimes ago now.
I like the music stuff in Thrasher. I read all the quick columns, so the music, ‘zine reviews, whatever else. Interviews can get dicey. I want to read everything like the old days, but I never have the time. I refuse to read the letters to the editor. I only start reading a new issue when the calendar matches the month on the spine so I won't look at the February 2026 issue until next week. I guess March is already out in the ether, which is absurd and stupid.
I've been making the time to watch some of the myriad of DVDs I have lately. This has included Jimmy Lannon's part in Volunteers, the 2015 video made by Mikey Bueso, Grey Area's Neverwhere video from 2018, and then Dylan Rieder's Dylan part.
I really should get a subscription for Closer. I ordered the new issue of Plank. I sort of don't want more stuff, but new mags are cool.
Roman Pabich filmed a sponsor me video when UMA Landsleds crapped out. I don't know if it worked.
The parallel:
College basketball > March Madness
Skateboarding > SOTY Season
Shout out to Big Takeover.
