Whenever I watch skate videos of just some dudes, I'm always mildly irked when their shoe brands switch from one clip to the next or when they wear a Girl shirt while riding a Plan B board etc etc.
After watching this, then following it up with other Story of Stuff shorts, I realized how gross that impulse is and that that brand inconsistency is actually probably a good thing. Firstly because that inconsistency means you're most likely watching a local video instead of a company video, and secondly because you, or at least I, end up not associating skaters' personalities with a company and instead focus on their skating.
Glad the blog is mostly skateboarding but then also some other some other stuff, the rest of the world etc, too.

I like Rants, no need for you to apologize Julian. Branding is bullshit, make thoughtful decisions whenever you buy anything.
